Default Tilt steering column for a 72 Monte Carlo

I have a customer that wants to put a column shift auto tilt steering column in his 72 Monte Carlo. The only ones that I can find are for a floor shift. Does this unicorn exist?

All those A body tilt columns from 69 to 72 will work, you may have to change the firewall plate and of course the lower shaft will have to be used from the MC. A good bet to find a column shift tilt would be from Cutlass and Vista Cruiser wagons. They are out there.

There are a bunch out there, usually $50-$150 or sometimes more depending on condition.
I counted 6 @ Jefferson last fall,before I found a floor shift.
Look @ other Monte Carlos in yards near you,if you have em.
They & 1968-72 Olds,Buicks & Pontiac seem to have gotten the lions share,as it was more accustomed to the the luxury A-bodies.
Ignition switches are usually flipped on some of the non Chevy,so might need to install one that adapts to Chevy harness.
