Default looking for rust treating product?

U guys know any good products for treating surface rust that wont turn it black or discolor it?I have a few survivor cars that have some exposed surface bare areas on the paint that i just want to preserve...thanks

I currently own a 1969 Camaro SS350. Although the original drivetrain is long gone, this 4/speed car has a March '69 HC coded block with #041 heads. The transmission is an M20 Muncie #660 case and the rearend is a BS coded 12 bolt posi. Built in Van Nuys.

www.safestrustremover.com. Great stuff. I have been using it for years. It will remove the rust without altering the metal. I have some examples of the process in my Trans Am thread.

Sadly, the guy that makes this stuff did not patent the process as he was afraid that people would then get the recipe and copy it. His competitors ended up doing that anyway because he didn't patent it.
