Does anybody know the dates codes used on the reproduction big block exhaust manifolds? I am referring to the 879 and 178 manifolds? I just picked up a super nice pair dated C 13 9 and C 19 9 and I wanted to make sure they aren't repo.

I installed a smog pump system and had these manifolds installed on our L78 engine this past fall. They fit fine and look good. The date code is pretty well out of sight, which is fine for most of us. The only reason I got rid of the headers was because the Ministry of Transport guys up here are fining people for not having all their smog equipment. It has always been that way here but it has been just in the past two years that they have been enforcing it. Sounds like another source of income for the government.
