What is an original P Window set-up (complete with wiring, etc)worth for a 69 Camaro?
Also, what's an original tach and gauge set-up worth with the dash with clock, 7K SS tach, underdash wiring harness and gauge cluster for console (no console though)? Thanks |

dont add anything you have to drill holes for. i added power windows to my car. what a hassle to remove. you have to drill holes in the door jambs, and the doors for wiring. not worth it.as for the guages, day 2 it and add stewart warner guages and tach. just my opinion.

As for the dash, it depends on the condition. If it is not badly broken or oxidized, and the radio area is not hacked up, it's probably worth $300-400 on its own. If the tach is 6k/7k for the early Z or whole year L78/L72, it's probably worth 400-500. Console gages another $300-400.
If it has a 140mph speedo.....priceless. |

Is there a difference between coupe and convertible power window set-up in 69 Camaro's? I was told that 68 and 69 coupe and convertible are identical. Does anyone have a picture of a 69 PW regulator for reference? Are 67's the same as 68/69?
Thanks |

I installed a set of power windows and door locks on a friend's car a few years ago. It was not hard if you get the right tools to drill the holes in the doorjams. Use a good hole saw
from a machineshop suplier and a slow angle gun. Lubricate the hole saw and slowly cut until you are through. GM puts the dimples in the body so there is no guessing. All the wiring plugs in your fusebox front to back and the power windows fit right in the existing holes.Be real careful if you need to remove the power motor for any reason be carefull as the lifter arm is spring loaded and it will release like a guillotine and can do real damage if you don't support the spring tension before removing the power motor.
