I need some help on an axle stamp.
Does this stamp look real? I thought this date was too early for an LS6 car. Is it? The center is cast L-?-9. The rear has a yoke for a larger u-joint. Is that correct. Should this rear have the 3916234 carrier and the 3917971 4.10 gears? And lastly, what is this thing worth as a trade in? Thanks in advance for your help. Eric |

Looks legit to me. Here is a shot of a rear assembled the same day as yours. Not sure what the casting date is however. Your date is not too early and that is not all that uncommon. The 454 cars used a unique yoke with a 9210 stamped onto them so it would be different than the 396 yokes. As far as value goes? I have seen them from as little as $1500 to as much as $4500. Whatever a buyer is willing to pay.

I sold a bare CRW housing recently with no axles or guts for $2,100 on ebay.
