2nd Annual MCRD open house

Annie and I would like to cordially invite all of you to our second annual gathering at the shop on June 5th from 10:00 -4:30. Bring your car, bike, bost, horse or whatever else you want to bring or just come by yourself. It is nothing more than a gathering of friends and cars. We will be servince some food and drink as well so we appreciate an RSVP. Come see some current and past projects that we done and visit our Gibb/Harrell showroom.

After we are done at the shop we are going to pile in and run into Springfield to join up with any earlybird cruisers for the Sunday Hot Rod Power Tour that will be in town so if you are in town for that, stop by the shop on Saturday. Look forward to seeing some new faces and some new cars (hint, hint) at the show.

The weekend turned out great. We were down on car count due to the bad weather but way up on people count. Thanks to all that did come as we had a GREAT time regardless of the weather. I only wish we had done it Sunday instead. The weather was perfect and we had over 3000 cars pass through with the HRPT. Thanks to the Barnharts for putting up with us all weekend and especially Ann who endured migraine headaches, vomiting and what we think to be an absess just to make sure she was there to help me and greet people. What a trooper. I could not do it all without her!

We did take some photos but not nearly enough and I will try and post them. Special thanks to Galye Jenkins for bring his front engine dragster and asking Annie to sit in and start it. She was thrilled to death. I also got a chance after that. Awesome to say the least and brought back a LOT of memories from my Pro Stock racing days. I will try to post pictures of all the weekend later after I get caught up.

Thanks to all who joined in and stopped by this weekend especially to the Barnharts who stayed the weekend with us and our 4 leggers! Best weekend in a long time!
