Default Looking for a book

(To preface, yes, I've checked amazon, the local public library, etc.)

I know this one's a very long shot, but...I'm looking for a book (I think it was hardcover) that's simply titled "Engines". It's roughly an inch or so thick and consists of individual sections which contain technical data and cut-away black&white drawings (the ones that almost look like actual photos) of American V8 engines, and I believe it covered the `50's through the `70's era. (don't remember if it covered 4/6 cyl's or not).

Unfortunately I can't give any better details, tell you who published it or exactly when it was published as the last time I saw it was in my Jr. High School's library 30+ years ago. (at least that indicates it was published no later than roughly 1980)

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks as always.
Eric

Maybe it's amongst these.

I've had great success using the Bookfinder.com site which searches new and used inventory of bookstores around the world..
This site's worked out great for me finding a few old and out of print books I was seeking also I've found it a good way to compare pricing of current books too..

Here's the link..
http://www.bookfinder.com/

Like Google the more info you have cuts down on resulting 'hits' but if you don't know the author or complete name of the book etc, less is better..

Good luck!.
