Default Holley Carburetor Identification

Does anyone know what this carb came off of? I have a mid 70s L88 Engine that it came with but I can't find it in any of my books. Thanks, Ed

Doesn't the 0115 mean it was built the 115 day of 70?
Or do I have that backwards

Adger;

Holley used a 3 character alphanumeric date code until somewhere around 1972 (don't know exactly when the transition was made) where they went to a 4 character Julian dating system.

The alphanumeric system consisted of 3 characters; the first character denotes the year of the decade, the second character denotes the month, and the 3rd character denotes the week of the month.

Using the following as an example, say you had a Holley LIST 4346 with a date of 983:

9 indicates 1969

8 indicates the 8th month, August

3 indicates the 3rd week of the month.

As a note, the 2nd characters break down as follows:

1 = January
2 = February
3 = March
4 = April
5 = May
6 = June
7 = July
8 = August
9 = September
O = October
A = November
B = December

When Holley went to the Julian system, the first 3 characters indicate the day of the year, or as on the date on the 850 above, the 11th day ("011"), January 11th. The last character indicates the year, "5" being 1975, 1985, 1995, etc. The "-5" after the LIST number indicates the 5th revision of that particular model of carburetor. I'm not that intimate with the "over-the-counter" speed shop style carbs such as these so I can't tell you what year each revision came out, so you'll have to rely on your best educated guess as to what year the carb above was produced. (I'll guess it's 1985) If the carb was a "-1" or a "-2" revision, I would guess 1975.

Sorry for the long-winded post, but I hope it helps.

Eric
