Default Correct Air Cleaner?

Trying to nail down the correct air cleaner for a 69 Camaro 396/350 hp. Pics would be appreciated. thanks

Get a hold of BBBenny. He has an original 69 SS car in his garage basically unrestored.

It should be a open element air cleaner.The 325 H.P. cars had the single snorkel type air cleaners and the open type for the 350&375 horse cars.

Not true. All non-ZL2 396 Camaros used the same open element air cleaner #6423907.

This little scenario is something that has been puzzling me for years. Why did the L35 69 Camaro get an open element air cleaner, while the 69 Chevelle L35 got the snorkel type.

Anybody know or care to take a wild guess

Always thought that all L35 Camaros and Chevelles had the snorkel air cleaners,i guess not.
