ON A LA BUILT 68 Z28 WAS THE COWL AERA PAINTED THE COLOR OF THE CAR OR THE COLOR OF THE STRIPE ?

I know 02E cars were car color across the top of the cowl & painted white under the cowl. I'm guessing you have white stripes. What is the build date of your car?

IT IS A BLACK STRIPE CAR AND HAS A BUILD DATE OF 04D

HOW ABOUT THE INNER PART OF THE FENDER WOULD THAT BE BLACK ALSO ?

If you're refering to the edge where the hinges are, it's car color....Joe

My 02E Z28 has white across the top of the cowl and also under the wiper cowl. The white extends just to about 6 inches from the fenders . My car was painted the same as the picture on page 75 of Jerry MacNeishs book on 67-68 Z28s before I restored it.

all 67-69 Van Nuys cars had the cowl painted the color of the stripe, even the Z10 & Z11 69 Pace Cars.
