Shrub took 3 hard hits, 2 at the driver's door area. I don't care for him much, but I don't want to see anyone hurt.

Very similar to the finish at 'Dega earlier this year. Tried to block when it wasn't clear.

Most disliked driver, by far, in NASCAR.And one of the most talented. But it sure was nice seing him walking.I'd love to see him miss the chase.

Tony Stewart was upset after the race, saying he doesn't want to "win that way". Sort of a downer for him, and he didn't seem very enthusiastic about the win. I think he thought he wrecked Kyle, but as the commentators said, and replay shows, Tony was holding his line, Kyle went across his nose. Shame that it ended this way, would have been cool to see them door-to-door at the line.

I'm also glad Kahne was ok. Watching the replay, he's lucky the back of Kyle's car didn't break through Kahne's windshield.

Also a great example of how a more recent rule that NASCAR implemented may have saved some serious injuries. When an accident occurs, the yellow flag flies immediately, and the field is frozen. I can't imagine what would have happened 10 years ago with a wreck like this just a few hundred yards from the finish, and guys holding their foot to the floor to try to pass crashed cars.

I was at both friday and saturday races as part of the driver introductions. Our Corvette club drives the drivers down the front stretch in front of the fans (includes the infield).
Well, I had (drove) Kyle Busch before the race on Friday. The fan reaction is very similar to Dale SR, as many fans hate him as well as like him...Once he heard the fans, he became stone faced, emotionless, whatever you want to call it. He seemed like an Ok guy, talked a little bit about the 'vette. Glad nobody was hurt.

I've heard Kyle say that the fan re-action does not bother him but I don't believe it.Dale Sr.was pretty thick skinned.I think he enjoyed the boo-birds.

Dale said, Booing or cheering, as long as they are making noise. It's when they stop making noise that you worry.
