I had the privilege of looking at an original owner '62 Corvette over the weekend that's for sale. This fellow received the car as a gift during his senior year of college. He did keep the original dealer paperwork, the car was delivered to Bird Chevrolet in Florida. Nice colors, too, red/red. The car is a 250 horse three speed manual (changed to a four speed) with hardly any options other than a radio. The owner was in the Army and the car has been transported all over the country with his moves, it has under 100,000 miles now. He served two tours in Viet Nam and the car sat in the Florida sun requiring it to need repainting in the mid 70's.
They're still out there, here's an original owner '62 never hit Corvette right in my back yard and I never knew about it. Pretty cool. |
