I am trying to round up enough stuff to send off for plating and have a set of trim rings for the '70 5-spoke wheels off a Z28. How do I tell if they are reproductions? The attaching clips are in place, not the serrated type attaching rim so are these worth replating?

the original trim rings are stainless steel

there are a LOT of pictures that Chuck Sharin has posted on this subject on www.nastyz28.com basically all originals were stainless steel and had 4 "death grip" clips mounted at 90 degrees from each other
