Can you scan the build sheet? (maybe "G" is for "custom" door panels? ![]() How about auto load leveler shocks ![]() here are the engine codes, they don't show a listing for an L79 with an auto. OK this car has the power top and a power bucket? I believe that is one of the rarest options.( 587 issued)
The 2G is still a mystery as that list shows 67 only console. I don't think the console was an option on the SS, it was standard. Still holding out for something "custom" ![]() |

Those build sheets in 65 Chevelles were issued by fisher body and didn't have any information regarding engine, or any other items to do with the chassis.

I got a hold of owner #2 of the car on saturday who sold this car for $2500. he said its original motor was a high horse power engine and the original owner in detroit kept it, and stuck in the 300hp. he said he will visit the original owner of the car as he still knows where he got the car from. If no one is home we will get the address and give it to us. He believes he put it in a race car or was saving it for a race car. I wish you could tell what a malibu car was from the trans stamp or rear end code (like on L78 vettes).
