I saw some TV on Abe last night. Funny how it wasn't taught at school what he wanted to do after freeing the slaves. I guess that idea can't even be talked about today.

The new Prez is supposed to be in Springfield this afternoon. Rick and Annie are out of the country and I think I'll head over to see Howie later today.

No doubt a great president. However, a history special on TV today documented him as a customer of humanities oldest profession. I'm sure it was only a pre-requisite for the White House, or he was looking for an intern.

What BS! First of all even if true it would have no relevance on the man's record or what he means to our country. Secondly if it's not evidence you could convict somebody with, then it's shameful to even bring it up, much less make it a part of a TV special on the man's 200th birthday!

Revisionist history - bah! Humbug!

If you watch the documentary on the History Channel(it's quite lengthy) it covers as much of his life as they possilbly could document, from birth to death. Yes, the documentary does do him justice and portray him as the American Icon he is and does document some bad decisions in his early years. Personally IMO it shows how his early poor decisions were turned around by those that followed him and wrote about how they reflected his genius that elevated him to the distinguished President he became. Watch it !!! it's still history, my apologies if my original post offended anyone.
