I have my M21 out of the nova and was surprised that it was actually dated for my car I think. It has P8D30 stamped on one side which I think is P = Muncie 8 = 1968 D30 = April 30th. Is this correct? I also found a vin number which is 38M374837 does any one know what type of car the vin matches?
I have a 464697 11" bellhousing also, what would this be out of? I want to list it correctly in the fore sale section. Thank's Jason |

Your date decode is spot on.
That originally came out of a 1968 Oldsmobile. 3-Oldsmobile Division 8-Model year,1968 M-Lansing Mi. Assembly plant-(Oldsmobile specific) 374837-Looks like a Cutlass 442 Sequential production number. |
