Casting # 3858174, 64-67 Chevelle, Camaro

What does all this translate into?

Need the casting date. For 66 and 67 it is a 275HP. For 65 it is a L79.

I thought the casting # for a 65 L-79 was a 180 block??

That could very well be. I was going by suffix codes only.

Thanks Jason, I'll try to get at the casting date but it's close to the firewall. Might have to use a mirror and some clever lighting and camera work.
