Default T-10 research input requested

One of the things I research is the dating and stamping on early T-10 transmissions (through '63). Many of these T-10s have a VIN derivitive on them, either for a passenger car or a Corvette. Having that VIN and the assembly date of the trans, allows me graph an "expected" time period between trans assy and vehicle assy. It also lets me log proof that a car with that VIN was actually produced with a 4-spd. And, since the trans was stamped at the same time as the engine with the VIN derivitive, it gives me a sample of what the fonts and style should look like on an original engine.
I have many examples on file already, but I could always use more. So, for the sake of research which helps me let other people know if they have something legit or not, I'm asking if anyone here has any old T-10s lying around that they'd be willing to look at and provide the numbers and photos of the stampings.
Here's an example of the kind of info I'd like to collect.

Any help with this research would be appreciated.

Verne

Are you looking for early aluminum case T10 stampings or cast iron early as well? I have quite a few of these if you would like the information off of them.

Only the '61-2&3 T10-1C and T10D-1 aluminum cases might have VINs on them. Those are the ones of interest. Thanks!

Oh well, I guess no one has any early T-10s lying around.

Verne,
Here you go. If more information is needed on any of these stampings, please let me know.

These were all the transes that I had that were stamped with a vin number. The rest were just stamped with an assembly stamping. If you are documenting 1963 passenger car Muncies I believe I have 2 of those with stampings as well.

Thank you very much. Just what I was looking for. '63 Muncies are also in my sights (anything pertaining through '64 big car production that's authentic)
Thanks again

I don't have one with a VIN but here's a T-10 I have sitting around that came out of my old April built '63 Corvette. This one has the small front bearing/retainer and is a T10D-1 main case.

I do have a couple of questions though:

1. Why would some gearboxes get stamped with the VIN and some not?

This particular trany has the number 56 stamped in the top just above and near the side cover. Any idea what that number might represent?

I'll also post a couple other photos of the casting date and the previously mentioned number 56....
