Default Jim Brady

I had the opportunity to meet Jim this weekend and get a "nickle" tour or his shop and property. I was a little blind sided though. I must have passed his place more than two dozen times on my way to the beach and never knew it. Jim is a very cool guy and didn't hesitate to show me all of the "toys" hiding behind his garage doors.

I was greeted by a Fathom Green 70 Chevelle and a few more. There was a 69 Fire Bird, an El Camino, and a 68 Camaro Convertible. Sorry, but that one I was drawn to. I feel honored to have seen a nut and bolt resto in progress. The trunk spatter was right on, in my opinion.

Jim showed me a lot of parts. From NOS F70-14's to BB aluminum heads, to parts cars and whole cars. I think that I could have built a sweet Chevelle without leaving his house! He has quite a few other rare finds lurking on the grounds too. Sweet Vega GT, by the way. It was really neat to see that stuff.

I think that the greatest part was that he treated me like he knew me for years. I know I turned some of the dust to mud from all of the drool!

I could go on and on about all of his cars and parts. I wish I would have brought my camera, but I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Jim, I would be there for years! I would start with that 55 Convertible first. See here I go again.

Well, anyway, Jim is a very nice guy and does some nice work from what I have seen.

Thanks for the 350 Jim! I know a certain Nova it will find a home in.

Almost forgot. His daughter was an absolute sweetheart. I think it was the first time I have ever heard, "Not now daddy, I'm racing!" That in itself was priceless!

YES! It was drool and the Vega GT was sans motor and it was what appeared to be an orange flame poly with white stripes and( black )? gut. Don't remember exactly what color the interior was, but it was a neat Vega. The yellow 72 Chevelle wagon was also cool. The rear window and tailgate worked and were in great shape.
