Default 1970 Z-28 Engine numbers

I have a one owner 1970 Z-28 I purchased from the owner that passed away a year ago he owned the car for 53 years. All of the numbers appear to be correct rear end, trans, muncie M21 housing, and the data plate. I was looking for the vin # on the engine block, I do have a front pad number that is VO 324CTB and that appears to be correct because the car was built the 2nd week of April. The rear end also has a 03 24 date that is correct. The car is a Norwood car and I cannot find any #s that coincide with the vin # near the oil filter, the only numbers I can find in that area are raised numbers 371 and then below that 386 and further under that appears 116 with the letter N next to that but two inches to the right. Those #'s do not coincide with any of my vin #. Is there any other place a vin # would be on the engine. The POP plate has the VO 324CTB on it along with the rear end numbers COZ0323G. I truly believe it's the original motor due to the mileage and history but just want to confirm when I sell the vehicle. Thank you

the partial VIN in my 70 Z had a few digits that were barely visible with original engine painted, but when cleaned well with lacquer thinner the full partial VIN was faint but very obvious.

Where were they located? Some say near the oil filter if its a Norwood car others say front passenger side near the last cylinder bank. WTF
