Starter Numbers

Haven't unpacked my books yet, want to check the numbers on this starter before I turn it in as a core exchange.

1108748 40 9 7

While I'm at it. It came off this engine(staight six), I was told it is a 78 Chevy van or truck engine. Can anyone run this cast number 377127


It's in my chevy powered new toy, 74 Landcruiser.

That Starter motor is for all 1974-5 GMC & Chevrolet Truck & delivery w/Small Block,except Motor Homes.That date code should read something like 4D for 1974,month of April.

That Engine block was used during 1973-79 and is an inline 6Cyl./250 cid for almost any Chevrolet-Olds-Pontiac vehicles,including delivery.Check the casting date and prefix code for specific application.
