Default 69 camaro title

I just got a 1969 camaro and the title was lost.It was a drag car since the 70's.I'm trying to get a title before I begin the restoration.I tried Broadway title company but I live in Iowa and thats one of the states that they can't work with for some reason.Does anyone have any other ideas? Also is an X33 an RS Z/28 or just a Z/28?

Have you tried your Iowa DMV? They can tell you specifically what you need and you can go from there. Most states have lost title procedures that range from simple to fat chance. I've found that the DMV offices in the smaller towns can be easier to work with than the large offices. I hope you at least got a bill of sale. When you break the code, please let us know.

I'll go to the DMV next week and see what they say.The guy forgot to give me the bill of sale that he was given and I called him last night about it.Like I said this has been a drag car for along time and someone removed the dash but the cowl tag and partial vins are still there so I hope thats ok.I also drag race but wanted to restore this back to original unless I have bad luck with the title. All emblems were removed but the back up light are stamped into the rear panel below the tail lights is this an RS option?

You may need to go the bonded title route. Kind of a pita. Depends on how friendly the folks are at your local DMV. I'd be sure to get that bill of sale. Some counties require it, some don't. So much for consistancy. Maybe call down and talk to them(DMV) before you go. Might save you a trip. Good luck.

Sometime you can add 0000's to make the total of 17 sometimes this works, Kim
