I wouldn't necessarily relegate that one to the parts bin just yet.

Personally, I try to use service carbs as parts donors and keep any and all production dated units as intact as possible. You never know when someone's going to need that exact carb.

Besides, you never know...you might be able to toss it up on eBay and get $10K for it!

I think I'm gonna take the parts off it (there's no baseplate), and install them on my 3419 - vacuum pod, turned down little du-hickey etc... since the 3419 has it's baseplate with that little provision out the back as pointed too in Colvin's book. Then I'll have one complete unit at least, and can pop it on EBaY
