Default Build sheet code

I own a 1969 Nova SS L-34 car. On my build sheet is a code maked "CRD". I have never been able to determine what this code means. Does any one have any idea. I have checked many reference gides, etc. to no avail. I even have original dealer parts pages from 1969 that does not list this code. thanks

Isn't that the code for a lighted ash tray?

rickp;

Welcome! This is one of the things I am researching. CRD and FLT are two codes that are not in RPO format. They are unidentified on the Fisher Body sheet. I would love to add information from your car to the chevynova.org database so that we can try and figure this out.

As for the lighted ash tray I am not sure there are enough datapoints. We did look at that and the dome light switch on the passenger side. The ash tray light might have been added on the GMAD side. Nothing conclusive.

Those 3 letter codes often refer to internal plant processing and are not regular production options (RPO).

For instance, this is what the current meaning of FLT is. I did not find a CRD.

FLT - SALES PROCESSING OPTION
