Wondering who makes a stock coil spring, that looks original and gives stock ride height, see too many that say" will give correct ride height",but don't look correct. Thanks in advance

I e-mailed Eaton Spring and they claim to be able to reproduce GM springs for proper ride height. Most cars seem to end up sitting high with replacement springs. Even the springs that I bought from GM a few years ago have our Lemans Sport sitting high.

Sully,
You may want to call Classic Muscle. They advertise about exact springs. I've bought a lot of parts from them in the past. Here is their toll free number: 1-800-722-4828. Their web address is: www.oldmusclecars.com Give them a try. I bought my leaf springs from them. Ron |

Ron. I was looking thru the parts file and found the new springs purchased for the 69 l-78 SS Camaro. I purchased them from Espo springs and things on the east coast, and the right height was recorded at 2" 9/16" and that is 2/16 into the +/- of the Tolerance. I would imagine a A/C big block would need heavier spring rate due to the extra weight. and the springs were $62.00!

JBB,
I bought mine from ESPO also. I have 427 with A/C, and they told me they used the same spring. That means either they used the same spring, or ESPO didn't have a heaver one Anyway, mine seem to sit about right, although I have never measured it. |

I purchased springs from several companies without much success. I finally found a coil spring company that provided correct ride height springs in hemmings. Their name is coil spring specialties 785-437-2025
