I am trying to verify the correct location of the clip that holds the speedo cable to the subframe on a 69 Camaro with either an L78 or L72 and a T400 with 4.10 gears and a speedo reducer/adapter.
There are two holes in the driver's side subframe arm which would likely work, one on the top and the other on the inboard side. i want to be sure I get this right. The info I have so far is that the clip is silver zinc/cad plated and is secured to the subframe with an indented hex head black plated bolt. Apparently, this clip is in addition to the one that attaches the speedo cable to the underside of the floorpan that is shown on UPC 12 C3 of the Assembly Manual. Any input or photos would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jim |

I got confirmation on good authority that the only speedo clip on a 69 BB T400 car is the one on the floorpan. Thanks to all who helped me check this detail item off my final to-do list.
