Default TOP OR SIDE POST BATTERY

I OWN A 70 NOVA SS 396/375 BUILT IN THE FIRST WEEK IN MAY 1970. SHOULD IT HAVE A TOP OR A SIDE POST BATTERY? THANKS, JEFF

If it was ordered with the extra cost optional Heavy Duty RPO T-60 battery,it would've come with the new R-79W side post.
Otherwise the std. battery that was included with that SS option was the R-59 top post.
