Default Garage Find Original Owner 1967 Shelby GT500

I thought you might enjoy this video on the original owner 1967 Shelby GT500 I documented a few years ago. The owner passed away and it sold recently.

Coincidental that I just bought a 1967 GT350 from an estate. Similar history. Never SAAC registered. Original engine. Not run in 30 years.

Beautiful rescue! Why was it parked so long ago?

Intention years ago was to go road racing. Thankfully, never happened. You can see that he removed the fold down seat and added a shelf & spare in the back. Seat was still in the garage with the car. He also swapped the original engine for a 351. Original 289 hi-po complete with carb, dist, bell housing, brackets, etc. was next to the seat in the garage. Road racing never materialized - & the car sat in the garage. Body, interior, & floors are beautiful. Original carpet ok.
