Trying to start new thread in today's posts

I have tried for three days to post a new thread, in Todays posts or new posts. I have not been able to, any idea why?
But in this section the 'new thread' came up highlighted when I clicked on it and I was able to pose this question...

I read that question wrong, there have been some issues with the site for a couple weeks now, and you may have experienced that. As you found out, just keep trying and it will work. The issue is being worked on, but it involves all this AI crap now and will take time to develop a solution.
