During the 70's, I saw a few of my friends/acquaintances trapped under their cars from a bumper jack leaning sideways and falling over. Fortunately, none of them sustained serious injuries, but a few had bad bruises and pain for a while.

It's hard for me to believe now that a bumper jack was even a consideration back then.
