In light of a fairly adamant phone call I just got regarding this carb;
I stand by my earlier statements regarding this particular unit. That being said, for the record I am
not making any "official" claims as to the authenticity of the date since it has obviously been altered, and short of a means to travel back in time...
Like I said, I've seen a number of factory mis-stamps, and I believe this is another example, but believe whatever you want about the carb.
(It's times like this that make me miss the old days of rebuilding 3310's and 4781's for the local hotrod crowd
