That is not a 70 to 79 Firebird/Trans Am console. (It could be a 80/81 Firebird model) They are not interchangeable with the Camaro version. The molded-in package tray at the top of your console is the clue. The Firebird version had an open area with a plastic insert that formed the base of the map pocket/tray. If the 8-track was ordered, that plastic insert was replaced with the tape player metal face plate and tape unit.
