Default Re: 1964 Chevrolet " SS " Impala Coupe

Unfortunately, surviving Chevrolet production records do not include totals of "combinations" of options or features. We'll never know how many 409s were 3-spd or 4-spd, or know how many 327 cars came with A/C.
Remember, in '64 the Super Sport became a "Model" rather than an option on an Impala. The SS Sport Coupes were either model 1347 (6cyl) or 1447 (V8). There were over 154,000 1447s built, so you can see how low the percentage is.
The cowl tag on your car will have a 1447 Style number because Fisher only used the V8 style number to sequentially count each body style (Sport Coupe). But your VIN will begin with 41347, indicating the car was actually produced as a 6cyl model.

BTW, that SS dash trim radio delete plate itself is probably worth north of $200. all by itself!
