Yes this is not the original motor. The previous owner found and built a correct coded 396, to the 375 hp specs. The car is a real 138 SS coupe with a 4 speed, bench seat, and 4.11 geared 12 bolt. These are the correct paint and interior colors. It is an older lacquer repaint. The windshield still has its 1983 inspection sticker on it. It is a good solid car. I realize it is not a perfect car, but it is a straight, dependable, and enjoyable Chevelle. I’ll be as honest as possible about it. Please feel free to ask any additional questions.
