Back in 1971, my brother trashed the engine in his 69 Chevelle SS and went to an engine shop in Cleveland to get a used BB. He wound up with a 427 out of a wrecked 68 Chevy Cleveland cop car (bought it complete for $275). It was a high perf 427 with a 2 bolt main. He beat the hell out of it, and so did two of my other brothers. He eventually sold it and those guys ran the heck out of it too. It never came apart.

I think he still knows the i.d. on the engine. I'll call him today to see if it was the same as the one posted here.

The date stamp on this one looks a little suspicious, if it is a re-stamp, it isn't a bad one.
