NNN judges are all volunteers...judging is organized by Rodney Sparks from the Indiana Chapter of NNN. This guy works like a dog to make sure evrything is done the right way. They have judges for tech (lights, wipers, windows, etc ) paint and trim, interior, engine/suspension...Greg Roberts (Nova Research Project)is a big help in these things. 1000 point sytem....bronze, silver, gold classes. Street (for cars driven to the show..!!) restored, unrestored, semi-modified, modified, super modified, pro-street.....sometimes there are not cars for every class in all the year groups...62-65, 66-67, 68-72 and 73-79. It used to be that 66-67 was the toughest area to judge , but the 68-72 cars are now in the lead. There are People's Choice awards for Gold Class, Street, and then a grouping by years. There are also sponsors picks awarded. The volunteer judges work very hard (in the hot sun) for 2 days to make sure every car gets the same level of treatment. You have to go to one of these events to fully appreciate the atmosphere and all the hard work that goes into putting it on...I know there are other great car shows and events out there...but this is one that evryone should try to make at least once.

ps...Here's a free point for anyone being judged...you receive a point for having a fire extinguisher in your car. I rented mine out a few times on Thursday and Friday...Grady and Mike would only rent the NOS/Numbers Matching unit I had, so they paid more
