Who could forget Burny Bros.
They were all over this area and had the best baked goods.Jules Burny was a close friend of mine and shot a mean game of Golf as well.

WOW!...Main St. Downers G. in 1961.
Your 1st pic is looking southbound and looks like it was taken standing on the R/R tracks.You can see Herberts Men store on the left,which just closed it's doors this summer.
Your 2nd pic looks like it was taken near Maple Ave.looking northbound,on the west side of Main..
