Default Yenko Stormer Project

I am new here and this is my first post. I have been checking in on the forum for quite a while though. So here goes my project and I would appreciate any thoughts/constructive criticism.

I have recently acquired a 67 Camaro that has been a drag car most of its life here in California. No historic value or anything like that. I however am not much of drag racer and more into vintage road racing. Usually as a spectator and not as a participant.

This 67 Camaro however will be turned from a drag car to a track car over this summer. As you probably know the Penske Sunoco Camaros like Donohue drove are very popular and allot of people use that as a style/build basis.

I however tend to go the different route as evidence that I own a 69 Big Bad Blue AMC Javelin. But with this Camaro I would like to use the Yenko Stormer as a base for my inspiration. Its not extremely well known especially in the vintage racing circuit and of course none are known to exist.

I have collected the basic info that is on the web and this forum about the Stormer. Does anyone have any more details on the car such as the color or striping? I was thinking of even using the 69 SYC stripes but put Stormer on the rear quarters and YSC on the hood for Yenko Stormer Camaro.

Any build data on the drivetrain/chassis would also be great.

I am in NO way trying to build a fake Yenko or pass anything off as such. I just want to stay within the "spirit of the sport" and base a vintage race car off an original racer.

Any input or help on my Stormer project would be appreciated.

Thank You
Adam
