I believe you, but I don't know where I got that it should be yellow....I thought off an original. Maybe I saw a repair and assumed it was original. I know when I did mine, I had some black weatherstrip adhesive, but I bought yellow for the sole purpose of gluing the joint.
Thanks for clearing it up before someone made the same mistake I did.
