Verne no problem. I don't believe they are worried about lawsuits and such. They have set judging standards which have been in place since the early seventies and survivor in 1990. As you point out they trademarked the term survivor when aplied to a cars status or condition. I think you will agree it is way over used. Many cars listed as survivors on ebay wouldn't qualify, but rather survived and thats about it.
The Bloomington folks realize they aren't intimately familiar with most models/brands outside corvettes and are looking for experts for those models. How this all rolls out remains to be scene. I believe there will be more participation from GM car lines versus Ford & Mopar but all are invited. This program will evolve and we will just have to wait to see the level of response/interest.
