Check the frame at the kickups and the birdcage/ dash frame for corrosion. Are you looking for a cruiser or a NCRS car? Just looking under the hood there is a lot of money to spend if wanting to do a correct car. Alt, valve covers, exhaust manifolds + exhaust, hoses, plug wires, rad cap, exterior mirror, top. 68 has many one year only parts and there were running changes throught the year so a correct car will be a hunt for parts. #'s match? The scale is big $10-20K dependent on #'s matching etc. Corvetteforum has a lot on knowledgeable guys, maybe you can find someone nearby to look at it for you.
