Thanks Steve..
My car is the same as yours.. I could not find a location on the drivers side firewall where the little bolt would go into. I sure as hell won't drill into it either to put one there!!
But I have been looking at pictures of restored cars that show a strap on the drivers side going from the rear, bottom valve cover bolt to the lower area of the firewall adjacent to where the steering assembly exits...
But like I said I am not putting a hole there if there wasn't one there to begin with..
