Default Re: RT & SE Challenger

Johnny,

I can't believe you didn't wait for the attempted gouging for 15K over sticker? LOL My local Ford dealer held out for over a year at over MSRP on the GT 500 and finally gave in and let me order one at MSRP. The local Ford dealers here are selling a lot of Shelby's to out of state buyers who buy them in Vegas and have them shipped to the Vegas Shelby factory for mods so they are some of the last dealers to offer the GT 500s at MSRP.

I don't understand Dodge's plan with the Challenger. I love the car but don't want to be sitting at a stop light with my 425 HP two pedal Challenger when a guy in a GT 500 with 500 HP drops the clutch and walks me? It's one thing to be in your four door two pedal 425 HP family Charger and another IMHO to be driving around town in a 4000 pound Challenger styled after the iconic Challengers of the past boasting a whopping 425 HP in a car that says drag race me if you can all over it(not that I would street race and break the law)? The 2008 Challenger is perhaps the epitomy of the old saying "all show and no go".

I bet GM doesn't make the same mistake and right out of the box the Camaro offers 500 HP and a stick to take on the Mustang?
