Default Baldwin-Motion Iso Grifo

Marty Schorr's 1 of 1 Baldwin-Motion Iso Grifo

I read about a dozen car mags a month, but Sports Car Market is not a magazine I normally read.
My thanks to Marty for alerting me that he had written them regarding his Baldwin-Motion Iso Grifo. I didn't know a Baldwin-Motion example existed.
The Iso Grifo was a very limited production vehicle to begin with, being produced for only 10 years beginning in '65. I was only aware of a 327 engine choice, but I see by Marty's letter there were also models built with a 427. With it's alloy body the small block powered version was a rocket to say the least!
The sophistication of an exotic Italian designed body with Chevy punch - WOW!
Marty's example looks pristine and is so much more - what an awesome and unique car!
Here is an excerpt of his note:

[b]I took delivery of this car from Baldwin Chevrolet, had it sent over to Joel Rosen at Motion Performance. He made some mods, dyno-tuned it, badged it and when Zora Duntov sent me (at Motion) a brand new LT-1 350/370 Corvette engine, Joel and Bill Mitchell swapped it in place of the original 327. The heads were done by Dennis Ferrara who drove the Gen II Baldwin-Motion A/MP Camaro.
I still have the original bill of sale from Baldwin, original MSO and a full documentation letter from Joel. The keys are still on the original Motion Supercar Club key fob!
Regards,
Marty
