Sounds like a cool find. I'm a big fan of First Gen Z/28s and they are rarely purchased from the original owner with original drivetrains and paperwork. Some of the options are great too! Fold down rear seat and rear window defogger, pretty cool. If you are able to post some pictures, you will probably get a more realistic response from members. My advice is mechanical work regardless of what is needed is always cheaper than extensive sheetmetal and paintwork. Determine the value by how much you can do yourself and not farm out. Also structural integrity is important. Rockers, rear frame rails and floor pans are not for the novice. Good luck, have fun, and jump into the deep water. First Generation Z/28s are icons. Ed
