I've got a 69 chevelle SS427 phase III clone. I would never try and pass mine off either. As a matter of fact, I used a 6 cyl car for my donor so that if I ever sold the car the next owner could not try to pass it off. I have went to great lengths to make mine as close to the real deal as possible. Of course I have a distinct advantage in that my uncle owned one and I grew up around it. Most of my parts came from him after he passed away. His car was not a candidate for restoration sadly. I wish I could have restored his car, rather than use a donor to bring it back to life. I guess you could say I have a bionic clone.
