I'm not certain, but I don't think you could get a D90 hockey stripe on an X11 car, as the X11 already got the pinstripes as part of the trim package, and they wouldn't put both stripe options on the same car...not sure if you could have deleted the pinstripes and ordered the D90 stripes instead. I want to say you couldn't, but I'm not certain. I do think you could get them as an option on any base model car though, as in an X44, COPO or otherwise.
The yellow car in the '72 pics looks to be an X11 car, yet i don't see pinstripes... so maybe you COULD delete them and order the D90 hockey sticks...maybe the whole car was repainted by 72..I doubt that, but heck if I know...I wasn't born til '75.
