Maybe the ones you parted out that had the magic mirror tag were the some of the remaining missing 4 ??

Nope.....I was on to this 25 years ago and yes I knew what a Yenko was.

My friend had a 68 with this tag and I would often compare his to mine. His started out as a 327 glide and was later converted to a 396( not by Yenko ) ...His was a early 68 car, it had the Astro door glass in it. Mine is a 07E car. Magic tags often appear later in 68 (Yenko build dates ).Mine is one of the last built in 68 without this tag, built along side those that have it....

True, the Yenkos had them. That much is known..but..it's just as hard finding a "normal" 68 with them as it is finding a Yenko. Why couldn't I find a Yenko?

You can come up with a bunch rational reasons why Fisher might use that tag, but they don't make sense when you consider Magic Mirror being the main difference. To my knowledge there is nothing different about 68 Yenko paint. Converted or not. It's not a 9737 thing.Export tags are different. I think it may have something to due with a type of batch order, or possibly some other internal quality tracking related to the paint supplier or finish.Something triggered the need for that tag. I'd bet the farm that, other than by chance, it had nothing to do with Yenko.
