Tom, the self threaded bolt looks correct for the negative cable. I believe they had the anchor on the head of them. I have also seen the negative cable bolted to the motor, pass. side. The assembly manual shows both ways but I think technically it bolts down on the motor for the big block. Also it should have the "U" shaped holder/bracket for the two heater hoses that bolts to the alt. bracket...

Rich, here is a photo showing the clamp...69 engine pic...i thought the 68-69 BBcars ahd the neg cable going to the block and the 70 went to the alternator bracket...
