Good clues. If u can post a photo of windshield sticker and the rear bumper sticker that would be helpful - may be more subtle info there that I can help u with. I was at the Point from 88 to 93. Probably still a few folks around there who were working or stationed there in 72-73. CP is home of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing as well as Marine Aircraft Group 14. Other MAGs have come and gone over the years. They would have been flying Sky Hawks (A-4s OA-4s) Intruders (A-6) and Phantoms (F-4) back in that time. There is also the MC's largest Aviation Depot for major overhaul of MC aircraft. You may wish to see if there are any websites associated with these organizations. The orgs have changed names over the years, i.e. the depot is now called a Naval Aviation Depot (NADEP) but used to be called a Naval Aviation Refurb Facility (NARF). Start googling and see where it takes you and feel free to let me see what u come up with so I can help steer you in your quest.
